Founder
Ron has been in the flooring business since 1958 as an installer. In 1968 he established Carpet Center in the Stowell Center Plaza along with his partner Dennis Jensen. In 1972 they built the building and moved the business to 1133 W. Cook Street and has been here consistently for over 50 years to serve the people of the central coast.
Co-Owner
Eric has been a lifelong resident of Santa Maria. He has taught Math at Righetti High School for 34 years. He began working with his father at Valley Flooring in 2004 when Ron’s original partner, Dennis Jensen passed away. He is enthusiastically helping his dad run the family business for the next 50 years and more.

Insurance Program Manager
A native of Jalisco Mexico, Hector came to the United States in 1991. He began working at Valley Flooring in 1997 learning the preparation and installation of flooring. Hector is also the manager of the Carpet One Insurance Program in which he puts together insurance quotes for State Farm, Allstate, Farmers and several other insurance companies.
Project Coordinator
Jason has been in the flooring business since 1996 working as a ceramic, marble and granite installer. With more than 20 years in the flooring business, Jason knows the ins and outs of coordinating a flooring project from start to finish in a timely and efficient manner.
Flooring Project Specialist
A specialist of coordinating flooring projects and helping families accomplish their flooring dreams. Bulmaro has an extensive background in customer service, client relations and merchandising. He is also part of the Carpet One Insurance Program servicing customers of State Farm, Allstate, Farmers, and several other insurance companies.
Bookkeeper
Sara came to Valley Flooring as a bookkeeper and has enjoyed learning all about the world of flooring as well. Sara also works with customers helping them pick out perfect area rugs for their homes. She enjoys working with all customers to help them have the most positive experience they can.
Warehouse Manager
Paz has run the warehouse at Valley Flooring with quality and efficiency since 2019. He supplies all of our installers with their installation supplies each day, and handles the many logistics of our busy store. Paz also cuts and binds all of our beautiful hand made rugs with care.
